Building Resilience

Sample Client List
by John Austin in Behavior change, Leadership, Stress

We’ve been in this pandemic for quite a while now.

Many of us are experiencing what is known as “crisis fatigue”, or “pandemic fatigue” – where our reserves are feeling tapped out and we’re getting tired of mounting that crisis response that so many of us are so good at.

A long term crisis such as this requires a different way of responding, one that is filled with consistency and predictability (to help ourselves, our family, and our teams).

That means putting on your mask before assisting others.

Running, biking, walking, meditating, being in nature, spending time with friends and loved ones, getting enough rest, eating a proper diet, not drinking too much, taking regular breaks from work, avoiding social media panic scrolling, planning for things that you have control over…

…even self-talk can help…here is a great article about the benefits of talking to yourself in the 3rd person for encouragement…

…the list is long for what you can do to create more happiness and resilience.

What is your go-to practice for building your resilience and keeping your tank filled?
